Pour a measure of whisky into an appropriate glass and note its colour.

2.1 Intensity/Complexity
Before you add water. Swirl the whisky in the glass and sniff cautiously, different whiskies cause different physical effects. How do you find it? (you can select more than one)

2.2 Aroma Straight
Before you add water. Swirl the whisky in the glass and sniff cautiously. What aromas can you detect (see the help notes on left).

2.3 Aroma Dilute
Now add a little water, about one-to-one, water to whisky. Sniff again. What aromas can you detect (see help notes on left).

3.1 Mouthfeel
Take a large enough sip to fill your mouth and roll it over your tongue. How do you find it? (you can select more than one)
