Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Ardbeg and Caol Ila are really great Islay malts. Nearly all Islays have a very distinctive taste and stand out in the crowd. But, what about the Campbeltowns? Where's comment on Springbank, Glen Scotia, Longrow, Sheepdip? These are also very good singles but in a whole different class to the Islays. Glen Scotia especially is a fine after-dinner whisky, as good as Springbank.
