The Distillery
Off the northernmost coast of Scotland lie the remote and fertile islands of Orkney.
As one might expect in such a place, tradition is important, and nowhere more so
than in the world's most northern Scotch Whisky distillery, Highland Park.
Many believe the unique character of Highland Park 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky
comes from the local peat beds which have absorbed the salt spray of centuries and
which impart a rooty, heathery quality to the whisky. Only a carefully measured amount of which
is used to fire the kiln for each malting.
Oak casks are then used for the 12 year process of maturation,
and during this time the spirit mellows. It is a slow, gentle process ensuring that
the classic malt has reached perfection.

Commenting on Highland Park's selection the Malt Advocate stated "This mature bottling of 25year old Highland Park whisky is very special indeed...what is perhaps most impressive is the impeccable balance and roundness of the whisky."
