The port and madiera wood finishes are unique in my experience. Sherry wood, however is quite well represented. Some stand outs: Glendronach's sherry wood aged, Balvenie's double wood, and the venerable Macallan 18. The Glendronach is so sherry-y that it's really too much. The forum here buzzes about "oddbins", of which I'm ignorant. I don't think that label (if it is a make) has made it here to New York USA. Anyway, hopefully GM is rolling out their superb innovations. Sadly, the supply has dried up here. I was heartbroken to read Mr. Katzenell's rapturous remarks about the Tain L'Hermitage only to discover it sold out at all my local vendors. I did manage to put up a few bottles of the Port finish which really seems like the chocolate burnt-orange winner of group. Enjoy!
