Thank you for comment and suggestion. I try not to be prejudiced! I managed to get a 12 yr Bunnahabhain at Istanbul, and also a Caol Ila 15 yr old. To celebrate my brother's return to the drinking classes and some kind of health (62 yrs old and smashed up in a motor bike RTA, I am planning a whisky-tasting evening. (Non-drinking drivers, barbecued salmon, and every Islay I can get my hands on. Specifically, I want to try to get a Laphroaig 15 yr old. (my only source is London), but I shall add Bruichladdich 12 as well. I expect the star of the evening to be my Bowmore 25 yr old - but we shall see. R.
