Just now coming back to check this site, thanks to your response in the tasting forum. Perhaps by now you have tried both Bruchladdich and Bunnahabhain. From reading your other notes, you might enjoy the Bruichladdich 12, if you can find it and if it has not changed. I am in dire need of a replacement supply, as I have used it too much in tastings with friends to introduce them gently to Islays. If you cannot find that, try the Cadenhead bottling, then the Bunnahabhain. Slaintje!
