Re women enjoying whisky, I'm happy to report both my girlfriend and my sister-in-law enjoy a good whisky. Curiously enough, my (identical twin) brother really doesn't care for it! I started my girlfriend on Chivas Regal, because I didn't know if she would like whisky or not. Then she tried some Macallan, and immediately tasted the difference - without even being told what she was drinking. I'm looking forward to introducing her to my Glenmorangie 18yo (nectar of the gods!) and my Glen Farclas 105 cask strength when we go back to my home country of New Zealand in a few months (assuming my sister-in-law hasn't polished it all off). Highland Park is one of my favourites. I started off on the cheap and nasties, then went to Glenfiddich and Chivas Regal for a while before deciding I wanted to expand my palate. I purchased a bottle of Highland Park simply because I've always loved the Orkney Islands, but what a delight to taste. It has a special place in my heart, along with the Glenmorangie 18yo. Incidentally, I noticed another message asking about purchasing Glenmorangie 18yo on the East Coast. I've been in Pennsylvania since the beginning of the year and have seen it in one store so far (over the border in New Jersey). But the 10yo seems to be fairly plentiful. Cheers to one and all. Ian
