Bruichladdich 10 was love at first sip for me. The light heathery sweetness with a depth of fruit and floral notes, made uncloying by a kiss smoke and salt in the aftertaste. Really a work of art. I haven't been able to locate the 15 or 21 year versions mentioned on the Bruichladdich page on islaywhisky.com (http://www.islaywhisky.com/bruichladdich/index.html) - but I'll be quite happy when I do. I've seen the 15 for sale on the Web from England. Yahoo got me there. I'm more content to search locally (I live in New York). I heartily hope that someone picks up Bruichladdich and start distilling there again - and that the magic can be recaptured again. Short of that, I'm also hoping Gordon & MacPhail or another rebottler will save some of those casks for future years (probably at nice hefty prices) like they have for other out of issue Islays (like Port Ellen and Ardbeg). Any tasting notes out there for the 15 and 21? I wonder if that special quality is improved or lost with more time in the cask?
