Hi Karen, congratulations for your purchase. I usually consider the Hart Brothers to offer the best all-over quality in their bottlings of all independent bottlers (albeit the Cooper's Choice Series by Vintage Malt Co. is somewhat less expensive), and this holds very true for the one you've got. Expect a somewhat lighter, quite elegant whisky, with more complex fruity, perhaps even floral, notes than usual: the results of perfect maturation and bottling without added caramel colouring. Maybe a little less pronounced peat and coastal salt than is usual for many younger bottlings of HP. A true Highland Park, mellowed by perfect ageing in an exquisite cask. Its strength's are its richness and subtle character, rather than sheer power. One of the best examples of this great distillery on the market, and a dram to be envied for. Regards, Clement
