Talisker is also one of my favourites, Cliff. I only know of it in its 10 year old incarnation but apparently, before United Distillers got their paws on it, it was bottled at 8 years old (and, I think, at 12 years old for the US marked, although I might be mistaken there...maybe you could correct me on that, Clement). I also understand that it was much more variable from bottle to bottle, which only adds to the fun. I sure would like to get my hands on one of those older bottles but, alas, I doubt if there are any left around.
