Greetings Mark and all. First - Meryy Xmas, and a happy Hanuka to one and all. Nope, I wouldn't "trash" the Glenlivet either, not if we are talking about the standard 12 yr distillery bottling. But it doesn't seem to me to be overly impressive either. But when you compare it with the Gordon & Macphail 15 yr old (any one - 40%, 43% or 46% abv)then it becomes pretty clear to most people (I'd be prepared to wager) that we're into a whole different ballgame of excellence. Incidentally, as I finished off the "Archive", I becacame less and less enamoured of it, and now doubt I'll restock it at home. On the other hand, I shall take any reasonable opportunity to restock G&M Glenlivet 15 yr old (or Glenfarclas 15 yr old, for that matter !)
