The people at Glenmorangie look set to release a new Wood Finish, probably this month. You could see it in Oddbins, and other good places. It is based on Claret, and the word is that the casks were from Mouton Rothschild. (Not that they will confirm - or deny - this). Stuff distilled in the late 70's, vatted in the early 90's into only 8 wine casks. If it's anything as distinctive as Tain l'Hermitage, we are in for a unique pleasure. Just to drive us batty, their marketing smoothies will probably set the prices outrageously high, just because they know we will pay. I will have to get together with my local drinking cronies to buy a bottle jointly!
